Google could add Games Hub to Chrome soon

We have all been there - playing the Chrome Dino game to keep the mind distracted from the frustrating reality of not having an active internet connection. Now, Google could soon add options for the users to choose games from. The company appears to be working on a set of changes for Chrome under the codename “Joy,” which will add a Games Hub to Chrome for both desktop and Android. 

Google is preparing to add a new page, chrome://games on Desktop. One the other hand “Top Sites” page will likely feature a “Games” section on Android. The latest findings come from Chrome Story that says both of these sections could have a curated list of games built for the browser. 

Chrome Story further discovered that Google is working on a browser version of the classic Snake game, which is said to be hosted at chrome://snake when it is ready, similar to the way users can access the Dino game at chrome://dino even when the internet connection is not available. Moreover, a reference to Proxx, a web-based game, was also found.

It is not completely clear what is Google planning to do with the Games Hub. As of now, the lastest change made in the Incongito Mode of Chrome. 

Chrome 76  will now make it harder for publications, which rely on subscriptions, to detect if a user is using the Incognito Mode for browsing their websites. These websites use FileSystem API loophole to detect whether a person is browsing in Incognito Mode and once detected, they provide users a different experience, that is, they are still able to limit the “free articles.”

Further, starting with the Chrome 76, the Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) will now check for updates daily instead of every three days before. You can read more about changes with Chrome 76 here.

Alleged iPhone SE 2 leaked renders tip old design, single rear camera, Touch ID and more

Apple is rumoured to launch the iPhone SE successor - tentatively called the iPhone SE 2 - in 2020. Now, alleged iPhone SE 2 renders have leaked online. The phone is supposed to pack flagship internals in a not-so-flagship level design. Google Maps new Messages feature enables users to chat with businesses in app

Highlights: Google is testing new Messages feature in its Google Maps app The feature will enable one to chat with businesses    Google is testing a new feature that might make it easier for users to connect with businesses on Google Maps. It was first noted by the Redditor u/sanju2cool and we checked to find that the feature also shows up for some businesses on Maps. One will find a ‘Message’ tab for some businesses, alongside the Directions, Call and Save options. Tapping on it brings up a chat window where one can send their queries to the business and hopefully, receive a reply soon.
